I believe in online directories. Partly that's because I'm a librarian,
partly because I'm nosey! Thus far I've put together directories of GLB
librarians and library workers; gaydads, gay stepdads and gaydad wannabes;
GLB people in Georgia; and people interested in bodybuilding,
weight-training, etc.
What I've found is that that these directories are a great way for people
with similar interests to connect online in ways that might be difficult
to do in real life.
This latest directory is yet another attempt to facilitate those
connections. In this case, the directory is oriented toward gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgendered Presbyterians and their straight Presbyterian
friends and supporters.
It absolutely is not the same as the separately maintained PLGC
(Presbyterians for Lesbian & Gay Concerns) listerv, although I would
expect there will be some degree of overlap between the Directory and the
listserv.

Be sure to include your full name (sorry, no pseudonyms or nicknames),
your preferred e-mail address, your location, and webpage address
(if you have one.)
Please keep in mind that this directory is accessible to anyone in the
world who has a web browser and internet access, i.e., upwards of 20
million people (including a lot of homophobes.) If you are not completely
comfortable being OUT on the Internet, you probably do not want to be
listed here.
