Happy Halloween, Blessed Samhain, and other appropriate holiday greetings to one and all! If you happen to dress up in Misty-related garb for Halloween, a Renaissance Faire or similar event, we’d love have you send us a picture for the newsletter.

We know that we have a number of members in the areas that have been hard hit by the hurricanes. Please let us know if you are okay and/or if you need anything.

Please keep your e-mail addresses up to date! We’re developing a rather long list (see below) of members who have gone missing because we do not have a valid e-mail address for them. If you know any of these folks, please let them know that we are looking for them. (We worry when we can’t reach you <g>.)

We’ve had several people contact us with requests for an RP/chat. Please send Danya at Legend@malcor.com the days and times you can attend so she can try to work something out.

If you have something of interest going on in your life that you would like other members to know about, please let Danya know at Legend@malcor.com. She’d love to pass the word along to fellow fans!

Publication News:

This month, look for the paperback of Exile’s Valor and the hardcover version of Phoenix and Ashes.

The paperback edition of The Fairy Godmother will be released in November 2004.

Misty has a short story in The Sword of Knowledge, which has a released date of January 2005, but you can preorder your copy at http://www.dragonlordsnet.com/bkfanml.htm. A portion of all proceeds from orders placed through the Dragonlords’ Bookstore goes to support Queen’s Own. This is how we keep memberships free, so we really appreciate your support! Stoned Souls (with Josepha Sherman) also has a release date of January 2005. Other upcoming releases include Ill Met By Moonlight (March 2005), Sanctuary (March 2005), the mass market paperback edition of Alta (March 2005), the paperback edition of This Scepter’d Isle (February 2005), the paperback edition of Burning Water (January 2005; yes, that’s a Di Tregarde story being re-released!), and the paperback edition of Mad Maudlin (May 2005).

The Vanyel Fan Club (VFC) is having a meeting of local members at the Starbucks on Muirlands in Lake Forest, CA on October 9th at 10 AM. All QO members are welcome. Message Danya at Legend@malcor.com for directions if you plan to attend.

Eesh! Busy month! My sister-in-law and cousin both decided to get married, with all the attendant madness that involves <G>. My book (From Scythia to Camelot) is coming out in Russian; the Hungarian translation will follow shortly, and both the German and Italian translations are in the works. With all the “back to school” madness, I really didn’t need my downstairs toilet to spring a leak . . . Life happens <g>.

We’ve had several missing members come out of the woodwork this month, which is great! If you know any of the other folk, give them a nudge to send us an updated e-mail address. We worry when we don’t hear from you!

I’m looking forward to meeting some of you with the VFC at the Starbuck’s in Lake Forest on October 9th. It’s been a long time since we’ve had one of these get-togethers, and I miss them.

I’m in the market for a mahogany sable or sable and white male collie pup. I’d like to take him at about 8 weeks, and I need a few weeks’ notice to get ready for him. If you have any leads, please let me know at Legend@malcor.com.
