Excerpt from

Prophecies of Tchang

by

Bahakesh, Dragonlord of Dumnonia

(Revised 11/14/97)

And His Tomb will become a sanctuary, and a stone of offense, and a rock to stumble over for both Dragons and Riders, a trap and a pit to the inhabitants of Dumnonia.

There shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since the First Bond. Then a Prophet shall arise among you, a dreamer of dreams. He shall shine like the brightness of the Land of Light, and those who follow him shall glitter like the stars forever and ever. And the signs of the Prophet shall be these: The starving man shall feed you, and the injured man shall make you whole.

Behold! The Light will send a Prophet before the day of triumph and destruction. And he will turn the heart of a father to his children and the hearts of the children to their father lest the Darkness destroy them.

At that time our people shall be delivered from the grasp of the Dark One, and many of those who sleep in the dust of Centuria shall awake.

And five of you shall chase a century, and a century of you shall put ten centuries to flight, and, thus, the minions of the Dark One shall fall before your scimitar! For those whose hearts are joined in the Light shall eternally triumph over the Darkness.

He will seek that which is lost and give again that which was taken away. He will heal that which is broken and ease the pain of all who suffer. All shall bow to his will, and the wise shall bend to his judgment.

I know not when. I know not how. But there will be a resurrection of the dead, both just and unjust. And on that day Centuria as we know it will be no more.

And a ruler shall arise from the wilderness; he shall be different from the former rulers and shall depose a Dragonqueen. He shall speak words against the Council and shall vanquish the supporters of the Council, and shall think to change the culture and the Law; and they shall be given into his hands. Then the divine court shall sit in judgment, and if his kingdom is found wanting, it will be taken away to be consumed and destroyed. But if his kingdom is found to be good and just, then it will have no end.

And children of the Light shall wish for Love to live since Love died for the Light. Thus, Faith is rewarded, and Love shall endure even beyond death. Thus, for the sake of Love, mercies shall be granted unto eternal Life.
