King Arthur
Marion Zimmer Bradley
Ms. Bradley has written some of the most popular Arthurian novels ever,
though they do not follow the medieval tradition very closely.

(Not sure what the difference is for this one, but since it's so much more expensive, I presume it has more cassettes.)

-
The Mists of Avalon
- The block-buster novel that was largely responsible for the current popularity of Arthurian fiction. The
story does not follow the original legends very well, and some things that appear to be historical are simply
the creations of Ms. Bradley's fertile imagination. Still, the book is well loved by modern readers and
is a staple in many courses about the Arthurian legend.

Audio (Baker and Taylor). (No longer available.)
Nonfiction
MZB has occasionally written nonfiction pieces about the Arthurian tradition as well.
-
Ladies of the Lake
- Marion Zimmer Bradley wrote the introduction for John and Caitlin Matthews' discussion of nine female figures in the Arthurian tradition.
