A 1996 documentary, focussing on the Gnostics and Cathars, and particularly Montsegur. A fascinating tour of the uses and abuses of the Grail legend, from Joseph of Arimathea up to and including the Nazi warpings of the 1930's and 40's by Hitler, Himmler and Otto Rahn. Discussions include Constantine and Nicea, Langueduc, Chretien, Wolfram, and the 1215 council on the Dogma of Transubstantiation. 42 minutes.

 Knights of the Round Table

This classic film with Robert Taylor features some of the lesser-known legends, an alliance between Mordred and Morgan not based on kinship, and a Lancelot who rides a trick horse that seems to have been imported from a Gene Autry movie.

An 80 minute color version of Lancelot's legend from New Yorker Films Video.
